A study was conducted on the clinical manifestations of bilateral sensorineural hearing loss combined with
metabolic syndrome in 107 patients aged 25-67 years (mean age 47.32±9.24 years). Patients with chronic sensorineural
hearing loss against a background of metabolic syndrome exhibited all clinical manifestations characteristic of this type
of hearing loss, among which speech intelligibility impairment was the most pronounced, followed by hearing loss and,
less frequently, tinnitus.
