Abstract

Treatment of chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) has long been one of the most complex and
controversial issues in otology. The purpose of this review is to compare various tympanoplasty methods in patients with
chronic suppurative otitis media. The review material includes scienti c publications from the past 10 years, published in
the international databases E-library, Scopus, and Web of Science. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development
of tympanoplasty methods and patient management, taking into account the presence of murmurs before and after
surgical treatment of chronic suppurative otitis media, is relevant.
