The role of the microbiotics of the nasal cavity in the development of recurrent rhinosinusitis

Despite the great achievements in medicine, recurrent rhinosinusitis is a pressing problem today, as it causes constant discomfort and a decrease in the quality of life of patients. The purpose of the review is to analyze data on the role of the microbiocenosis of the nasal cavity in the development of recurrent rhinosinusitis. Articles published in the international databases PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar on recurrent rhinosinusitis over the past 10 years were analyzed as review materials. Thus, the review showed that the study of the prevalence and specific course of recurrent rhinosinusitis and the microbiocenosis of the nasal cavity is relevant and requires the development of diagnostic and treatment tactics.
