Abstract

Olfactory disorders constitute a signiw cant proportion of cases of general anosmia and hyposmia. The aim of this review is to analyze the prevalence and causes of olfactory dysfunction. Materials for the review included articles on olfactory dysfunction published over the last ten years in international databases such as PubMed, Scopus,
and Google Scholar. Thus, the review demonstrates that the etiopathogenesis of olfactory dysfunction is diverse and requires continuous research.
